Programming the Speed Controller
The speed controller is already perfectly adjusted to the motor ex works. For this reason, we recommend
that the ex-works programming not be changed.
Programming takes place via sound signals generated by brief triggering of the electric motor.

Function 1 "Driving mode"
This is where you determine driving mode: Forward = forward driving only; forward/reverse = forward and reverse
driving possible.
When switching from forward to reverse driving, the rotating direction of the motor is switched immediately. Therefore,
take in a short break between switching so that the drive is standing still. Otherwise, the drive will be subject to great
stress.
The model ship's build (racing boat with integrated flood channel for self-righting after capsizing) makes it
unsuitable for reversing. The rear end would submerse and the flood channel would fill.
Function 2 "Number of LiPo cells"
Attention!
The model ship and the integrated motor are only suitable for a 2- or 3-cell LiPo drive battery (or 6 - 9-cell
NiMH drive battery).
Never insert a drive battery with more cells. This would damage the drive/motor. Loss of warranty/guaran-
tee!
We recommend using a 3-cell LiPo rechargeable battery (rated voltage 11.1 V) with a capacity of at least
2200 mAh and a discharge rate of 25C.
This function specifies with which cell number of the drive battery the model ship is operated. The specification to a
specific operating voltage (LiPo 2S = 7.4 V rated voltage; LiPo 3S = 11.1 V rated voltage) is an undervoltage recogni-
tion specified in the speed controller (e.g. 3.2 V/cell).
