temperature range specified in this manual.
• to use the stopfor™ fall-arrester if the fall clearance is
not sufficient with respect to a falling person.
• to use the stopfor™ fall-arrester if any obstacle is
located along the fall path or on the swinging path
when used in a horizontal configuration.
• to use the stopfor™ fall-arrester if you are not in good
physical condition.
• to use the stopfor™ fall-arrester if you are pregnant.
• to use the stopfor™ fall-arrester if the safety function

• to use the stopfor™ fall-arrester to secure a mate-
rial's load.
• to connect the belay device of the stopfor™ fall arrest
device to a structural anchor point with a resistance

technical specifications table above, or if there is
presence of burrs.
• to use the stopfor™ fall-arrester to suspend the
operator or any other load,
• to place several stopfor™ fall-arresters on the same
anchor line,
• to use the stopfor™ fall arrest device on a belay
support whose angle with the vertical is greater than
30° or a maximum displacement of 3 m max. with
respect to the vertical (see figure 6.1).
8
• to use the stopfor™ fall-arrester in a horizontal
position when there is more than 1.50 m from the
perpendicular to the edge (see figure 6).
• to use the stopfor™ fall arrest device on a belay
support whose angle with the vertical is greater than
30° or a maximum displacement of 3 m max. with
respect to the vertical (see figure 6.1).
• to reassemble the belay support with the stopfor™
fall arrester, thus creating a soft strand.
• to use the anchor line for any other use than that
of the appropriate stopfor™ fall-arrester model,
including with another type of anti- fall device.
• to use a lanyard, which is longer than 0.3 m for the
stopfor™ B and P.
• to use an anchor line or a lanyard showing defects,
knots or visible signs of damage.
Installing before use
Install the stopfor™ on the belay support.
Connect the stopfor™ to the fall arrest harness
with the connector that is directly positioned on the
stopfor™ or with the connector positioned at the end
of the stopfor™ lanyard.
After which, the following procedure must be adopted:
For the stopfor™ K/KS/KSP
• Open the device by turning the mobile flange.
• Tilt the shaft by using the pin to free the anchor line's
passage.
• Insert the anchor line between the clamping axis and
the shaft.
• Close the mobile flange up to the clamping axis
buffer.
• Insert the M10 connector delivered with the stopfor™
into the holes of the two fixed and mobile flanges,
which allows the locking of the device.
• The stopfor™ must be positioned on the anchor line
so that the arrow is pointing upwards and the device
locked.
.
®
The stopfor™ will automatically stop the operator
should they fall.
1. Anchorage to the structure (Fig. 1, page 2, A)
• The anchor line is fixed to the anchoring point with
a buckle (Fig. 1, page 2, C) and a connector (Fig. 1,
page 2, J). The anchoring point must be able to resist
a minimum of 12 kN.
The anchor point of the belay support must
never be positioned below the user.
