retaining lugs. Note that the angled end of the blade must face the actuating mechanism
otherwise it will not close.
Again with the levers erect, position the upper blade on the pivot points and press it down
firmly by hand. Again ensure that the angled end of the blade is facing towards the
actuator.
Check that the airbrake opens and closes smoothly.
Installation:
The control linkage is connected inside the airbrake box. For this reason, it is advisable to
remove the blades so as to gain unrestricted access to the mechanism.
Solder a clevis adaptor to one end of a Ø 2mm. Steel pushrod and install a clevis adaptor.
Now install a sort piece of Bowden tube running from the airbrake cavity to the servo
cavity. Press the end of the Bowden tube into the end of the airbrake box and secure with
glue. Insert the pushrod and secure the clevis to the hole in the actuating arm in the
airbrake box. Connect the other end of the pushrod to the servo output arm, reinstall the
blades and check that the airbrakes work correctly.
