Functional principle

The VISCOFLUX mobile S drum emptying system consists of the mobile process device,
a FLUX eccentric worm-drive pump with motor and the follower plate. At the start of the
pumping process, the follower plate is supported on the pumped material in the drum.
The action of the eccentric screw pump creates a vacuum which pulls the follower plate
down automatically. The process seal of the follower plate hermetically seals the pumped
material even in conical drums and at the same time ensures that the pumped material is
stripped off at the drum wall.
After having switched on the pump drive the follower plate is automatically lowered. For
lifting the follower plate compressed-air needs to be blown into the drum.
The compressed air presses the follower plate upward and at the same time holds the drum
down at the ground. When the follower plate has reached the top of the drum it has to be
lifted from the edge with the handheld control unit.
