Functional principle
The VISCOFLUX lite drum emptying system consists of a FLUX eccentric worm-drive
pump with motor, a pump centring plate and a follower plate. At the start of the pumping
operation and during the pumping process, the follower plate of the pump lies on the
surface of the material in the drum.
A vacuum is created during pumping with the eccentric worm-drive pump, whereby the
follower plate is drawn downwards. The flexible process seal hermetically seals the
material and at the same time ensures that there is almost no residue on the walls of the
drum.
To raise the follower plate, compressed air must be blown into the drum. The compressed
air presses the follower plate upwards.
The air pressure stops when the bottom bead on drums with roller beads is reached, and
the follower plate comes to a stop. In this position, the arresting hook Pos.19 will be
hooked to the edge of the drum. The pump is now pulled out of the system. The follower
plate tilts into the dismantling position. The pump centring plate is dismantled. The
follower plate is taken off with the handles.
Due to their higher weight eccentric worm-drive pumps with flange-mounted three-phase
motors dispose of a bracket where a balancer / a lifting device can be fixed for reasons of
support. (Brackets are not included in the delivery.)
