Explanation of symbols and notes
Safety notes are marked with
a safety indicator and
a danger indicator
They will make you aware of hazards and help avoid risks and operate the device safely.
In the Operating Instructions, additional instructions are given to help avoid hazards.
There are three categories of danger notes based on the severity of possible injury.
Different signal words are used depending on severity.
The meaning of the safety notes is indicated by shape and colour (DIN 4844).

In this document, the following signal words are used in conjunction with safety signs
to illustrate potential hazards.
Danger!
Death, severe personal injury or substantial property damage will result
if proper precautions are not taken.
Warning!
Death, severe personal injury or substantial property damage may result
if proper precautions are not taken.
Caution!
Minor personal injury or property damage may result if proper
precautions are not taken.
Attention!
Property damage may result if proper precautions are not taken.
Information/note
Indicates information and instructions for safe and effective operation.
