Practical measurement
STEP 1 Prepare the tester
• Connect two test leads to the Residual Voltage Tester.
• Select appropriate measurement mode as follows:
• Linear mode
Switch on the tester pressing the on/off key and keeping it pressed for
approx. 2s until all three red control lamps (bat, Machine Power on and
Result) go "on", then release the on/off key. After 1s two lamps go "down"
while the bat lamp stays "on". Residual Voltage Tester is thus in Linear
mode.
• Non-linear mode
Switch on the tester pressing the on/off key and releasing it. Bat lamp
goes "on", Residual Voltage Tester is thus in linear mode.
• Select appropriate waiting time effected from switching-off moment until
taking the measurement of U
(measurement inside tested machine) can be selected.
STEP 2 Carry out the test
• Connect test leads to tested machine, see the figure below.

In case of measurement at mains plug, corresponding T-distributor
should be used, see the next figure.
