Operation
To prevent damage to machinery or potentially lethal injuries when operating the machine, observe the following points
without fail:
-
Exercise the utmost caution when handling the spray gun. Never direct the spray gun at your own body or at other
persons. Never allow parts of the body to come into contact with the liquid flow from the spray gun or from leaking
points.
-
When spray gun is not in use always turn the safety lever of the spray gun to the locked position. Always use a nozzle
holder with dust protection cap. Defective nozzle holders must be replaced immediately.
-
Never attempt to hold back the liquid flow by placing your fingers, hand or other object over the nozzle.
-
The machine may be used only for its intended use.
-
Before turning on the machine, obtain information on correct action in the event of breakdowns.
-
Before turning on the machine, implement function checks on the following units:
-
Pressure regulator
-
Hydraulic oil level
-
Pressure gauge
-
Fill in piston oil
-
Hose
-
Check jamb nut
-
Catch lever for spray gun
-
Also read the chapter "General safety instructions".
nitial operation
I
Important:
First reduce pressure when turning on machine for working or cleaning. Never allow the pump to run dry longer than 10
seconds to prevent wear and tear at the seals.
Step 1:
-
Do not connect power cord to power source yet!
-
Check suction pipe and return rinsing hose for a tight fit; connect at least 15 m airless spray hose and airless gun. Do
not install spray nozzle yet; detach if already installed.
-
Ensure that all screw connections of the device, hoses and gun are tightened.
Operation / Installation of airless gun
Airless gun
1. Installation of airless gun
The gun is connected with the airless hose by a BSP screw fitting. This BSP screw fitting must be tightened using an
open-ended spanner. Only after all BSP screw fittings have been tightened may the plant be subjected to pressure. Place
gun on the floor and check all component connections for leaks. If leaks have been detected, these must be eliminated
immediately. To do so, depressurize the plant. Lock the outlet safety latch. * The outlet safety latch should always be
set when the gun is not required.
2. Fitting the reversible spray nozzle
Install only when plant is without pressure.
-
Insert seal from the rear into nozzle holder with the dust protection cap. Ensure that the nozzle collet of the seal is
aligned with the retainer opening of the nozzle holder.
-
Place the reversible spray nozzle into the nozzle retainer as far as the limit stop. If the arrow of the nozzle is pointing
forwards, then this is in the spraying position.
