4. Initial operation after prolonged storage

Water-based paint:
Rinse with turpentine substitute, then with water and soapy water, finally with water.

Solvent-based paint::
Rinse device with turpentine substitute, then with coating material.
Maintenance
Attention: Observe the general safety regulations!
If the spray gun shows signs of leakage at the nozzle with material exiting while operating the outlet lever, the needle or
seal is worn, damaged or contaminated, and must be cleaned or replaced. To do this, remove the spray gun from the hose.
Maintenance and cleaning:
Cleanliness is of utmost importance to ensure trouble-free and smooth running. The device should be rinsed out after
every use.
Caution:
Always rinse without the nozzle, with pressure at the lowest setting. When rinsing, hold gun against a metal container so
as to conduct away static electricity. Store the clean unit in a dry area. Never store lying in water or solvent.
Changing the motor/engine
Changeover from electric to petrol engine is described
1.
Disconnect power cord from outlet.
2. Reduce device pressure to zero.
3. Loosen the screws to the belt cover and lift cover.
4. Raise motor and remove V-belt from the belt pulley of the motor.
5. Remove motor with motor plate from cable hanger and store in a safe place.
6. Suspend petrol engine with the motor plate into cable hanger.
7.
Place the V-belt on the belt pulley of the engine.
8. Fold down belt cover again and screw tight using the screws.
9. After checking for correct seating of the engine and the cover, the device is ready for operation again.
Changeover from petrol engine to electric motor ensues as described above in the same manner.
Maintenance
Caution: high pressure device. Observe safety regulations applicable to the gun and operation manual. Undertake cleaning
only at minimum pressure and when spray nozzle is dismantled in accordance with operating instructions. Rinse always
in a separate metal container and turned away from the pump.
Maintenance of the petrol engine
Clean air-filter cushion in the petrol engine every 25 hours of operation.
In addition, note and follow the instructions in the Honda engine operation manual. Here, further service advice is set out
for safe operation.
