REPLACING THE PISTON SEALS

Grease 3-5 cm of upper piston rod 8 that goes
through the throat packings of the sleeve/cylinder.
Grease piston packings at bottom.
Carefully slide piston assembly into bottom of sleeve/
cylinder assembly until pump rod protrudes out the
top and piston packings are totally inside the sleeve.

Reassemble inlet valve with new O-ring, seat and
new ball. Seat may be flipped over and used on the
other side. Clean seat thoroughly.

Install inlet valve housing onto cylinder.
13. Tighten packing nut 3.
NOTE:
When pump packings begin to leak, tighten packing
nut 3 down until leakage stops or lessens. This allows
additional operation with approximately 380 litres
before repacking is required.
