Additional settings

Displaying the serial number

To display the serial number of the device,
u press the MENU button A.
u Press the NEXT button 2.
u
Press the "Various Settings" softkey

The "Various" menu is displayed.
u Press the NEXT button 2.
u Press the "Serial Number" softkey 8.
The serial number is displayed.
u Press the OK button B repeatedly un-
til you reach the desired menu level for
additional settings or completely exit
the menu.

Displaying version numbers

You can display the version numbers of the
different device components.
Note
You cannot display the version number,
if the "Off Clock" function is switched
on. To switch off the "Off Clock" func-
tion, please read the section "Displaying
time permanently with device switched
off and ignition switched on (Off Clock)"
in the chapter "Clock – Time".

Switch off the device.
u button @ and the

switching on the device.
The version display with information about
the software appears.

u Press the NEXT button 2 once or sev-
eral times to display the version num-
bers of additional device components.
To exit the version display,
u press the OK button B.
The display of the audio source previously
listened to is displayed.

Updating the device software

You can update the software of this device
without removing it. New software versions
can be found on the Internet under www.
blaupunkt.com. The software is transferred
to the device with a USB data carrier.
Note:
Please observe the information ob-
tained at www.blaupunkt.com for han-
dling the downloaded fi le and for in-
stalling the software on your device.
To install new software,
u
connect the USB data carrier with the
new software to the device.
u Press the MENU button A.
u Press the NEXT button 2.
u Press the "S/W Download" softkey 8.
After the fi les on the data carrier have been
read, the directories and fi les of the data
carrier are displayed as a list. If an USB data
carrier was inadvertently not connected,
the display briefl y shows "CONNECT USB"
and you are returned to the menu.
To select the fi le with the new software,
u press the softkeys ; or 9 once
or several times or the
button @.
