MP3/WMA mode
• Artist and album name are a compo-
nent of the MP3 ID3 tags of version
1 and 2 and can only be displayed if
they were stored with the MP3 fi les.

or burner software.

Selecting a directory

To move up or down to another directory,
u button @ once or
press the or
several times.
Notes:
• The device will automatically skip and
not display any directories that do not
contain MP3 fi les.
• The device treats all directories and
subdirectories as if they were located
on one level. Repeatedly pressing the
button @ will also bring you
or
to all subdirectories.

Random track play (MIX)

To play the tracks in the current directory in
random order,
u press the "MIX" softkey 6 once or sev-
eral times until "MIX DIR" is displayed.
Info line 2 H permanently displays "Mix
Dir".
To play the tracks contained in all the direc-
tories on the MP3 data carrier in random
order,
u press the "MIX" softkey 6 once or sev-
eral times until "MIX ALL" is displayed.
Info line 2 H permanently displays "Mix
All".
Cancelling MIX
To cancel MIX,
u press the "MIX" softkey 6 once or sev-
eral times until "MIX OFF" is displayed.
Info line 2 H no longer displays "Mix Dir" or
"Mix All".
Scanning tracks ( Scan)
You can scan (briefl y play) all the tracks on
the MP3 data carrier.
u Press the OK button B for longer than
2 seconds.
The next track will then be scanned. "SCAN"
and the current track name are intermit-
tently shown on the display.
