4.4 DRIVING THE TRACTOR
Before starting out, check to make sure the brakes are good.
Lower the parking brake (n.6 fig.1).
Disengage the clutch by depressing pedal n.19 fig.1.
Select a speed range with the range selector (n.17 fig.1). Position (see fig.5):
RM
= Reverse
R
= Creep
V
= Fast
Engage the gear you want with the gear lever (n.16 fig.1). Position:
1-4 gives you 1st or 4th gear or 1st reverse depending on the range lever
position.
2-5 gives you 2nd or 5th gear or 2nd reverse depending on range lever position.
3-6 gives you 3rd or 6th gear or 3rd reverse depending on range lever position.
