have a pacemaker, internal defibrillator,
or any other active electrical implant
anywhere in the body.
have applied topical solutions containing
metal ions on the treatment area.
have epilepsy.
have serious arterial circulatory problems
in the lower limbs.
have an abdominal or inguinal hernia.
are pregnant or nursing.
Near the heart. The electrodes must
not be placed on any part of the front
ribcage (where the ribs and breastbone
are located), and specifically not on the
two large pectorals. This can increase
the risk of ventricular fibrillation and
induce cardiac arrest.
