7.2 Important to Know Before Breast Pumping
Learn how your breasts release milk and why Ameda's Custom
™
Control
mimics the way your baby breastfeeds.
Let-down & Milk Flow
When babies breastfeed, they latch on and start sucking quickly to help your body
release hormones that signal your breasts to release your milk. This is called let-
down. Once let-down occurs, your baby sucks longer and slower to help manage
the milk flow that is spraying into your baby's mouth. With the Finesse™ breast
pump, the separate dials allow you to mimic your baby's comfortable sucking
pattern.
