Electric Installation
Works on the electric installation may only be effected:
with cleared power supply
by trained and qualified electricians
Observe the regulations and standards of electric engineering.
In Germany, VDE regulations do apply.
For controlling the winch, an electric control is required.
A contactor control is fitted to the standard electric wire rope winch.
Observe the instructions mentioned below as well as the technical regulations of the respective country if the
electric control is provided on site.
i.e. EN 60204 T1 and T32, DIN 56925.
Pay attention for double brake electric control.
The manufacturer of the electric control takes the responsibility.
4.1 Mounting indication for contactor control
The contactor control must only be mounted with vertical standing contactor.
Max. sloping position 22,5°.
4.2 Indication EMV
The electric winch with control is designed for industry.
The winch has to be switched at max. 5 times/minute to accomplish the standards for electromagnetic emis-
sions EN DIN 50081-2).
EMV proceedings (filter) have to be carried out if the winch has to be switched more than 5 times/minute or
by using other electronic switching circuits (on site or delivered as option).
EMV test must be provided on site.
4.3 Electric controls can be delivered as:

Pfaff-silberblau contactor control is designed for:
f=50 Hz: 380÷420 V
f=60 Hz: 440÷460 V
Type of protection IP54
Operating voltage 42 V - 50/60 Hz
Attention
When connecting the winch to a three-phase network
U=440÷460V, the bridge of the transformer has to be
switched from A÷B to B÷C!
For supply of the control current circuit, a transformer
with galvanic separation must be used (provided in Pfaff-
silberblau controls).
In any case, an easily accessible emergency stop push-
button (switch) has to be provided. (provided in Pfaff-sil-
berblau controls, different designs)
