6. INSTALLATION AND PREPARATION
Proceed by carefully following the sequence of points 1 to 9:
1) Unpack the machine (refer to Chap. 4)
ATTENTION!
• After having removed the packaging, check the integrity of the machine. If in doubt, do not use the
machine and contact the dealer immediately.
• Never tilt or turn the machine over: always move it in the upright position. This prevents the oil leaking from the
vacuum pump.
• Only use man power with utmost care to move the machine.
2) Place the machine on a surface that is flat, stable and suitable for the load.
ATTENTION!
• Block the front wheels by lowering the pedals.
• The machine must be positioned so as to be accessible from all sides.
• Do not obstruct passage-ways, escape or service routes with the machine. Do not position the machine in front
of exits or emergency doors.
• Make sure the machine is ventilated properly, leaving a gap of about 20 cm around the entire machine.
The ventilation slots must remain free and unobstructed in order to maintain the pump temperature at a normal
level.
3) Check the oil level of the pump.
Fill the oil in the machines supplied without oil (the warning label is found on the packaging).
In machines with pre-filled oil, check the correct level through the opening on the rear or lateral side, as shown.
The ideal level corresponds with the centreline of the inspection window.
ATTENTION!
Never start the machine if there is no oil in the pump!
