11.2.3 Prior to calibration
Fig. 58: EC calibration
tion values from other measurement ranges that
have not been recalibrated are retained
Clean the electrodes using a soft brush.
•
NOTE!
The probe guard must not be removed during
the calibration procedure.
Place the probe tip in demineralized or
•
distilled water for approx. 30 min.
•
Empty the calibration solution into a clean
container.
•
Power on the measuring instrument and
immerse the probe in the calibration solu-
tion; ensure the electrodes are completely
covered.
Stir lightly for approx. 1 minute. Lightly tap
•
the probe to remove any bubbles adhering
to the electrodes.
CAUTION!
Make sure the electrodes are completely cov-
ered by the calibration solution, but that they do
not contact the bottom of the container (screw
on the probe guard!).
To enter the calibration mode press and
•
hold the CAL key for approx. 2 seconds.
As soon as the device has measured the
•
conductivity of the calibration solution, the
reading flashes in the display
If the displayed value deviates from the
•
setpoint value, use the arrow keys to set the
value.
NOTE!
If the arrow key is held down, the value can be
set more quickly
