Operator Requirement
The operator shall read the instruction manual carefully before using the unit.
Qualification
No special qualification is required for use of the unit except for detailed direction by a professional.
Minimum Age
Only persons above 16 years of age are allow ed to w ork w ith the unit.
Exempted from the provision is the use of the juvenile trainees if they w ork in the course of their professional training w ith an aim to
obtain the skill under a trainer supervision.
Training
Use of the unit requires adequate lesson by a professional or the use of the manual only. Special training is not required.

Transportation and Storage
If the engine scythe is out of operation for a longer (1 month) period, take steps as follow s:
•
Empty oil and fuel tanks.
•
Remove and clean string coil and knife disc.
•
Wipe the string coil and the disc dry.
•
Wipe the exterior parts of the scythe w ith soft cloth w etted in fine soapy w ater.
•
Store the scythe at an elevated place and lock it up to keep children aw ay from it.
•
Store the scythe at a dry place.
•
Wrap the disc w ell to prevent cutting injuries.
Tip for GFS 1100 B (# 94032): Turn handle by 45 to save the space.
