In this way (leaving the electricity and fuel supplies enabled), the
boiler is protected by the following systems:
Antifreeze: when the boiler water temperature falls to 7°C, the circu-
lator is activated and, if necessary, also the burner (at the minimum
output) to bring the water temperature back within the safety values
(35°C). The icon will flash on the display, indicating that the an-
ti-freeze function is active.
Circulator anti-blocking: an operation cycle is activated every 24 h.
H - Switching off for long periods
If the boiler is not used for a long period, carry out the following
operations:
- Press . The display will visualise the words "ENERGY FOR
LIFE" and the anti-freeze icon.
- Close the fuel and water taps of the heating and domestic hot wa-
ter system
In this case, the anti-freeze and anti-blocking systems are de-
activated. Drain the heating and domestic water system if there
is any risk of freezing.
The Riello Technical Assistance Centre is at your disposal if
you have any problems carrying out this procedure.
I - Memory key
Press the key to activate the Memory function - the display will
show the corresponding icon.
The Memory function activates smart heating electronics
J - Heating memory
When the Memory key is activated, the boiler takes into account the
time that passes from the moment of firing; after 10 minutes, it in-
creases the stored outlet temperature by 5°C.
Memory repeats the cycle until the ambient temperature set on the
ambient thermostat is reached, or until the maximum permitted tem-
perature is reached.
Thanks to this automatic function, you can choose the lowest outlet
temperatures and, at the same time, minimise the times needed to
bring the room up to the required temperature.

K - Smart system filling
When the pressure detected falls below the alarm level, the icon
lights up and the system filling key can be activated.
Press the key to activate the smart system filling function.
Once the key has been pressed, the cycle progress is visualised with
the drop icon that gradually fills up
When the filling cycle is complete, the drop icon switches off.
NOTE: If the system filling pressure falls below a minimum safety
value, the display shows fault 40 (refer to the chapter "Display and
fault codes").
