Checks during and after the first commissioning
Following commissioning, check that the Family Aqua Condens
3.5 BIS, boiler performs the start-up procedures and subsequent
shutdown properly as described below:
- Press button 1,
(ON/OFF)
- Press button B, select heating water temperature, and turn the
encoder A to select the desired value
- Press button C, select DHW temperature, and turn the encoder A
to select the desired value
- Generate a heat demand by acting on the room thermostat or
hourly timer (external)
- Also check the domestic hot water operation by opening a hot
water tap.
- Check the full stop of the boiler by turning off the system's main
switch.
After a few minutes of continuous operation, the binders and
manufacturing waste will have evaporated, you can then perform:
- the supply gas pressure check
- the combustion check.

Supply gas pressure check
- Press button 1,
, to turn off the boiler
- Unscrew the fixing screws (D) of the connections cover
- Take out the connections cover by pulling it towards you (E-F)
- Undo the fixing screws (G) of the shell.
- move the housing base forwards and then upwards to unhook it
from the frame
- Lift the control panel and successively turn it forward
- Undo by two turns the screw of the pressure test point upstream
from the gas valve and connect the pressure gauge
- Power the boiler electrically by setting the main system switch to
"ON"
- Press button

- Turn the encoder A to max
- Fully open the hot water tap
- With the burner at maximum output, check that the gas pressure is
comprised between the minimum and rated power supply pressure
values indicated in the table
- Turn off the hot water tap
- Disconnect the pressure gauge and tighten the pressure test point
screw again upstream from the gas valve.

Combustion check
- Access the "Calibration & Service" operations as indicated in the
specific chapter
- Insert the analyser probes in the prescribed positions on the air
C
box after removing the screws H and the cap I.
- Check in parameters HH and LL that the CO
those indicated in the table.
- If the reading is different, modify as indicated in section HH and LL
of the "Settings" chapter.
- Perform the combustion check.
Then:
- remove the analyser probe and close the combustion analysis inlet
- close the instrument panel and reassemble the cover in the reverse
order compared to the disassembly description.
When the checks are completed:

The boiler is supplied for use with methane gas (G20) and are
already factory set as specified on the rating plate, so do not
require any calibration.
All checks must be carried out exclusively by the Riello
Technical Assistance Service.
