Setting the thermoregulation
Checking the external probe connection
After connecting the external probe to the boiler, you can use the
INFO function to check, viewing the value of the external T° and
checking the presence of the icon on the display, that the connection
has been recognised by the adjustment card. It is normal for the
values measured by the probe to be higher than those of a reference
probe, immediately following installation.
THERMOREGULATION is activated and optimised by setting the
following parameters:
PARAMETER
BUILDING TYPE
MAXIMUM SET POINT HEATING
MINIMUM SET POINT HEATING
THERMOREGULATION
FUNCTION ACTIVATION
CLIMATIC
COMPENSATION CURVE
TYPE OF HEAT REQUEST
Thermoregulation function activation PARAMETER 44.
The connection of the external temperature probe, plus the value of
PARAMETER 44 ON, allows the activation of the thermoregulation.
EXTERNAL PROBE CONNECTED and PARAMETER 44 = 1 (ON):
the THERMOREGULATION is enabled.
The INFO function allows you to see the value of the external probe, and
to visualise the symbols associated with the THERMOREGULATION
function.
Without the connection of the external probe, it is not possible to
enable the THERMOREGULATION. In this case, PARAMETER
44 is ignored and its function is ineffective.
EXTERNAL PROBE CONNECTED and PARAMETER 44 = 0 (OFF):
in this case, the THERMOREGULATION is disabled, even though
the external probe is connected.
The INFO function allows you to see the value of the external probe
however.
Symbols associated with the THERMOREGULATION function are
not visualised.
PARAMETER 03 - Type of building
The adjustment system for processing the delivery temperature does
not use the external temperature directly, but takes into account the
thermal insulation of the building: in well-insulated buildings, external
temperature variations have less effect on the ambient temperature
compared with poorly insulated buildings. The level of thermal
insulation of the building is set via parameter 3, in compliance with
the enclosed diagram.

Maximum and minimum delivery temperature PARAMETERS 21
and 22.
There are two parameters that allow to limit the delivery temperature
produced automatically by the THERMOREGULATION function
based on the type of system (see table).
System type
Cast iron radiators
Radiating panels
Fan coils
Floor
PARAMETER 21 determines the maximum delivery temperature
(MAXIMUM HEATING SET-POINT).
PARAMETER 22 determines the MINIMUM DELIVERY TEMP.
(MINIMUM HEATING SET-POINT).
Choice of the climatic compensation curve PARAMETER 45.
The compensation curve for heating calculates the delivery
temperature of the boiler based on particular parameters, optimising
the operation based on the outside temperature.
Therefore the choice of the curve depends on the minimum external
design temperature (and therefore on the geographical location - see
graph 1), and on the delivery design temperature (and therefore on
the type of system).
