Cleaning the housing / condensation container
The housing and moving parts of the appliance are made of sturdy mate-
rials that are easy to clean. You will avoid discolouration if you remove tra-
ces of colouring products immediately or directly after treatment.
Do not use benzine, paint thinners, harsh cleaning agents or scouring pro-
ducts to clean the housing and the condensation container j.
1. Comply with the safety instructions in "Section 6.1" page 70.
2. Clean the appliance with a moist (not wet) cloth.
3. Remove the condensation container j from the appliance, empty
and also clean it.
The condensation container j can be cleaned in a dishwasher.

Cleaning / replacing seals
1. Carefully clean the soiled / furred seals with a moist (not wet) cloth.
2. Check the seals for cracks or damage and replace if necessary.

Do not use any damaged seals!
6.7.1 Seals on the water boiler
1. Remove defective or heavily soiled seals 1/2.
2. Position new round seal 1 and press into groove.
3. Position new oval seal 2 with wide side facing outwards and press
into groove.
4. Check that seals 1/2 are securely in place.
Damage to the appliance
• Do not insert the water boiler 6 into the appliance and do
not operate the appliance if the seals 1/2 are missing, are
not properly mounted or are damaged.
5. Fill the water boiler 6 with water as described in "Section 4.3"
page 58 and insert it into the appliance.
6.7.2 Seals on the steam distributor
1. Remove defective or heavily soiled seals 1/2 from the mount 3 of
the steam distributor 3.
2. Insert two new round seals 2 into the grooves of the mount 3.
3. Fit the new seal 1 with the small opening facing the mount 3 and
push it as far as it will go onto the steam distributor 3.
The small opening of the seal 1 must be placed against the steam

distributor 3. The large opening must point away from the steam
distributor 3.
4. Check that seals 1/2 are securely in place.
