Risk of fire
• Do not use benzine, paint thinners or other highly flammable
substances for cleaning.
• The appliance must not be covered by towels or similar items.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors or in places where aero-
sols (sprays) are used.

Electric shock hazard
• The appliance should only be used with a properly earthed
socket outlet with earthing contact.
• Keep the mains cable e away from heated surfaces. Do not
squash or kink the mains cable e.
• Make sure that no foreign bodies can enter openings. Do not
insert any objects into openings in the equipment.
• Do not use sharp objects, e.g. a tail comb, to remove dust or
foreign bodies.
• Always fill the water boiler 6 away from appliance.
• Only clean the appliance with the power plug f removed,
and do not use a wet cloth.
• Do not operate the appliance with wet hands and protect
from splashing.

Risk of scalding / Damage to health
• The water boiler 6 is solely intended and approved for use
in the Hairspa Ion steam appliance.
• If the seals on the water boiler 6 are not in place, hot steam
will escape from the appliance. Insert the seals into the water
boiler 6 as described in "Section 4.2" page 57 before
integrating the water boiler 6 into the appliance.
• Only fill the water boiler 6 with water. Aromas and additi-
ves may not be used. Aromas and additives may have an
adverse effect on the treatment result, possibly even damage
health or escape from the steam distributor 3 as hot liquid
or foam.
• The water in the water boiler 6 may be hot after operation.
Allow the appliance and the water in the water boiler 6 to
cool down before cleaning.
• Foaming cleaning agents escape from the steam distributor
3 as hot liquid or foam. Do not clean the water boiler 6
and the steam distributor 3 with foaming cleaning agents.
