Unpacking / Disposing of packaging

Danger of suffocation
The transparent plastic film poses a risk of suffocation to children:
• Keep the packaging away from children.
The appliance is delivered packed in a box, in bags filled with polystyrene.
First of all, check that all parts are included and undamaged:

The pedestal base g and pedestal tube h, wall adapter WBP7 y and wall arm z
do not form part of the Hairspa Ion and must be ordered separately.
If the consignment has been damaged in transit, please contact Technical Customer Ser-
vice. We recommend that you retain the packaging during the guarantee period in case
the appliance needs to be returned. If you would like to dispose of the packaging, please
ask at your local waste disposal site.
3.2

Mounting

3.2.1 Pedestal version
Assemble the pedestal as described in the installation instructions for the pedestal base
g type ST5 and the pedestal tube h type ST5. Then mount the appliance on the
pedestal tube h.
The appliance may not be used with the old Wella pedestal type ST3 under any circum-
ST3 stances. The appliance may fall off the pedestal type ST3 during use and injure the cus-
tomer being treated.
3.2.2 Wall-mounted version
The wall-mounted version requires correct electrical installation and secure fixing to the
specialist wall. This version should therefore only be mounted by a specialist (electrician, techni-
cal expert) or staff with a comparable qualification according to the valid installation
and operating instructions.
Sudden release of spring arm (only wall-mounted version)
• The spring arm of the wall-mounted version contains a powerful spring.
• The appliance may only be mounted / dismantled by a specialist (electri-
