6. USE OF THE ECO HOT WATER
Defrost function
The defrost function is managed automatically according to the set values
of parameters d01, d02, d03 and d04.
It is also possible to activate defrost manually.
With the unit switched off (OFF), press the
which the defrost function starts. The procedure lasts a few minutes and
stops automatically.
Protection against overheating
The Eco Hot Water is protected against overheating preventing danger-
ous situations from occurring due to high temperatures inside the accu-
mulator should the electronic system malfunction.
When the temperature inside the accumulator reaches a value, manual
overheating protection is activated (MTS intervenes at about 85 °C) and
this interrupts the power supply to the unit which turns off.
A technician will then be required to restore normal operation of the unit
who will also need to reset the MTS protection by pressing the red key
for manual rearmament whilst also ensuring the correct operation of the
unit.
Protection against overheating is found behind the frontal panel.
When the temperature reading of the BTT sensor is equal to or greater
than 70° C, the solar pump will not be activated.
The VS valve for optional thermal discharge intervenes when the tem-
perature of the TTT sensor reaches 78°C and is deactivated when the
temperature reduces to 63°C.
Remote ON-OFF control.
To use this function, open or close the contacts between connectors 7
and 8 of the terminal block, (terminals ID01 - GND of the wiring diagram).
Opening the contact blocks the operation of the heat pump (compressor
and fan) and also the electric heater.
Closing the unit contact will return the unit to normal functioning.
