a. Turn the mower upside down
b. Chock a blade by inserting a piece of wood
between the blade and mower deck to prevent the
blades from rotating. Loosen the blade tighten-
ing blade.

c. Replace old blades with new ones.
Note:
Insist on ISEKI genuine blades when replacing.
d. Tighten the bolt for blade temporarily to deter-
mine the height difference between blades. If
more than 1 mm (0.04 inch), correct with adjust-
ing shims.

Note:
Insert adjusting shims between the boss and
mower blade.
Available shims: 1.2mm (0.047 in.)
e. Install a tightening washer on the blade and
tighten the nut to the specified torque.
Tightening torque:
8-4. Inspection of gauge wheels
Gauge wheels are very important parts to set the
grass-cutting height. When a wheel does not turn
smoothly or is deformed, replace it with a new
gauge wheel immediately.
8-5. Inspection of rollers
Make sure that all rollers turn smoothly.
- When the wheels and rollers are hard to turn,
disassemble them and clean them.
- After reassembly, be sure to grease them suffi-
ciently
8-6. Cleaning under the belt cover
a. Remove each belt cover and clear the grass and
dust accumulated under the cover after daily
operation, or shorter service life of the belts and
damage to bearings and oil seals will be caused.
b. Each blade shaft end and tension pulley end are
equipped with a grease fitting. Inject grease
through these fittings after every 50 hours of
operation and make sure that each part rotates
smoothly.
c. After mowing, clear the underside of the mower
deck and blades of accumulated grass and dirt.
Especially after operation in wet grass, wash
them without fail, or accumulated wet grass and
dirt will cause performance deterioration.
