Starting Up

4.1

Safety notes

Caution: It is essential to read the General Information at the
beginning of this manual before starting up.

Checking the package contents

The package contains:
a base station
a handset
a power adapter plug
4.3

Connecting the base station

Position the base station within reach of the telephone line socket and a
power outlet.
1. Plug the connector at one end of the power cable in the socket
marked j on the rear side of the base station and the power
adapter plug in a properly installed 230 Volt mains power outlet.
The power adapter plug from the base station must remain
connected at all times. For safety reasons, only use the power
adapter plug supplied.
Access to the power adapter plug must not be blocked by furni-
ture or other obstacles.
2. Connect one end of the telephone connection cable enclosed to
the TT83 telephone line socket and the other to the telephone jack
marked P on the rear side of the base station. Only use the
telephone connection cable supplied.
