Troubleshooting

Error:
The system "knocks" (increased noise level, manometer at in-line dampener shows excessive
pressure values, heavy vibrations of system parts, metering is irregular, ...)
Cause:
the gas cushion is too small or disappeared
Remedy:
Immediately stop the metering pump
Pre-load the hose diaphragm without pressure (see Chap. 6 "Commissioning")
If required, check the hose diaphragm, the air valve and the in-line dampener for tightness.

Decommissioning and disposal

CAUTION
• Always wear suitable protective equipment if hazardous metering media are metered!
Observe the safety data sheets of the metering media!
• Depressurise the in-line dampener!
• Depressurise the hose diaphragm!
• Empty the pump hose and rinse using a neutral medium, if required!
Observe the safety data sheets of the metering medium!
• When decommissioning an in-line dampener, the dampener must always be cleaned of any
chemicals and contaminations!
• Please observe the relevant applicable local regulations for disposal!
For Germany: The cleaned used parts can be disposed of at the municipal collection points of the cities and
municipalities. If a suitable collection point is not near you, you may return the cleaned used parts to the
ProMinent head office, against a low fee (given sufficient prepaid postage).
