Commissioning

CAUTION
• Please observe the relevant local regulations for the commissioning and operation of in-line
dampeners!
• Check the correct installation based on the installation notes!
• Always wear suitable protective equipment if hazardous metering media are metered!
Observe the safety data sheets of the metering media!
• When pre-loading the in-line dampener, only use air or nitrogen, never oxygen!
• Leave the pre-loaded in-line dampener only shortly without operating pressure! Otherwise, the hose
diaphragm may be damaged on the interior by the metering pipe!
NOTE
For a filling via the air valve as loss-free as possible, we recommend the Power Pump
(Order no. 1033094) or the Air Port 90 EVO (order no. 1033095) by Reset.
Check the installation (has the overflow valve, if any, been set correctly?).
Close the shut-off valve and depressurise the in-line dampener using the relief valve.
Pre-load the in-line dampener with 60% of the determined operating pressure (at the installation site) with
air or nitrogen (through the air valve; use manometer at in-line dampener. Observe the following table!).
Then close again the relief valve and open the shut-off valve.
Open the relevant shut-off elements of the system.
Start the metering pump with a low metering output – increase the metering output slowly to the desired
value.
Check whether all hydraulic parts of the system are leak-tight.
Check whether the pressure of the hose diaphragm remains stable (manometer at in-line dampener).
