About this product

The in-line dampeners are used for a low-pulsation metering and to reduce the flow resistance in long
metering lines. These are diaphragm dampeners which can be operated in flow.

Identification of the notes on safety
The following terms are used in the present operating instructions to indicate the various severity levels of the
danger:
WARNING
Characterizes a possibly hazardous situation. Your life is in danger and there is a danger of serious
injury if these notes are disregarded!
CAUTION
Characterizes a possibly hazardous situation. There is a danger of slight or minor injury or damage to
property if these notes are disregarded.
The following warning signs are used in the present operating instructions to indicate different types of the
danger:

Proper use
• The in-line dampeners serve the dampening of pulsations generated by an oscillating metering pump in
the metering medium in a line system.
• The in-line dampeners may only be used for liquid media!
• All other uses or modifications are prohibited!
• The in-line dampeners may not be used for gaseous media (exception: the required air cushion),
flammable materials, or solids!
• The in-line dampeners may not be used for flammable media!
• The in-line dampeners may not be used in EX areas!
• The in-line dampeners may only be used in compliance with the technical data and specifications stated
in the operating instructions!
