9.8 Changing the PIN
Observe the information in chapter "4.3 Notes on the required SIM card."
The PIN of the SIM card inserted in the GSM switching module can be changed by an SMS command.
To change the PIN, send the following SMS command (do not enter the quotation marks): "PIN=xxxx".
The string "xxxx" represents the new PIN.
You receive an SMS confirmation and the new PIN is saved on the SIM card and in the GSM switching
module.
Then, the GSM switching module turns itself off.
9.9 Restoring factory settings (reset)
The following parameters or functions are active by default or after a reset:
An SMS is sent after a level change at "IN1" (6) from HIGH (between 2.5 V/DC and 12 V/DC) to LOW
(below 2.5 V/DC). (see chapter: "9.2 Setting inputs "IN1" (6) and "IN2" (5)").
An SMS is sent after a level change at "IN2" (5) from HIGH (between 2.5 V/DC and 12 V/DC) to LOW
(below 2.5 V/DC). (see chapter: "9.2 Setting inputs "IN1" (6) and "IN2" (5)").
The "INCALL" relay output (7) is switched on for 0.3 seconds when a call is received. (the switching
period can be adjusted; see chapter: "9.3 Setting the switching period of the "INCALL" output (7)").
An SMS confirmation is sent after the "SMS1" relay output (8) has switched (can be activated/
deactivated; see chapter: "9.4 Activating/deactivating the "SMS1" output (8)").
An error message is sent by SMS when an unknown SMS command is received by the GSM module
(see chapter: "9.5 Receiving error messages via SMS").
The device name is "GX101" (variable; see chapter: "9.7 Changing the device name").
The PIN of the used SIM card must correspond with the default PIN ("1234") of the switching module.
Before first using the device, set the PIN of the used SIM card to "1234". Set the pin using a mobile
phone according to the corresponding instructions.
