Step 4: Connection
Proceed with the connection as described in chapter "6. Display and control elements".
To make sure the device is connected properly, observe the safety instructions in
chapter "7. Installation and connection".
Step 5: Logging into the mobile network
After the SIM card has been inserted and the power supply has been connected properly, the GSM
switching module tries to log into the mobile network. During the log-in attempt, the "GSM" LED (2)
flashes at short intervals.
If the GSM switching module is properly logged into the network, the "GSM" LED (2) flashes at 3-
second intervals.
If the PIN is incorrect or the SIM card is locked, the GSM switching module switches
itself off again after the log-in attempt.
Step 6: Assigning telephone numbers
You can assign a maximum of two authorised telephone numbers. The GSM switching module can
be configured from these two telephone numbers. Response and alarm SMS messages are sent to
these two telephone numbers.
Within 5 minutes after setting up the GSM switching module, call the phone number of the inserted
SIM card. To indicate successful recognition, the "INCALL" relay output is activated for 5 seconds.
After the authorised numbers have been configured, the GSM module is ready for operation and can
be set up according to the intended purpose.
