e) Inserting the Drive Batteries in the Vehicle
Attention!
The drive batteries must not be connected to the speed controller yet. First switch on the transmitter, see
chapter 9. c) and 9. d).
Important!
This vehicle is exclusively suitable for use with two LiPo drive batteries with 2 cells (nominal voltage 7.4 V)
or two LiPo drive batteries with 3 cells (nominal voltage 11.1 V).
Open the two hook-and-loop tapes (A).
Now insert the two drive batteries so that the connection
cables of the rechargeable batteries point back towards
the speed controller. Otherwise, the connection cable may
impair the steering mechanism in its function.
The rechargeable batteries should be inserted into the
holder vertically if possible (depending on the build).
Tighten the hook and loop tapes so that the two recharge-
able batteries are securely fastened.
f) Connecting the Drive Batteries to the Speed Controller
First switch off the speed controller. The on/off switch must
be in the „OFF" position for this.
Then switch on the transmitter (see chapter 9. c) and 9. d).
Remember to put the trimming for steering and driving into
the centre positions.
To prevent sudden start-up of the wheels and therefore uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the trim-
ming for the drive is maladjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable support (or starting box), so that
the wheels can turn freely in case of an error.
Do not reach into the drive. Do not hold the wheels.
Now connect the two drive batteries to the speed controller. Always ensure correct polarity. Do not apply any force
when connecting the battery plugs to the speed controller.
Make sure that the cables do not get into the drive of the vehicle or the steering mechanics. Use cable binders for
fastening if required.
