Hydraulic Oil
Total EP32, Shell Tellus T37, MOBIL DTE15 or ESSO Unipower, XL46.
Engine Oil
Select the appropriate engine oil viscosity based on the ambient temperature and use the SAE Service Grade Viscosity Chart below.
This machine is lled with SAE 15W-40 at the factory.
Engine Oil Speci cations
Use an engine oil that meets or exceeds the following guidelines
and classi cations:
Service Categories
API Service Categories CD or higher.
ACEA Service Categories E-3, E-4 and E-5
JASO Service Category DH-1
De nitions
API Classi cation (American Petroleum Institute)
ACEA Classi cation (Association des Constructeurs Européens
d'automobilies)
JASO (Japanese Automobile Standards Organisation)
Engine Oil Change Procedure - Yanmar
1. Ensure the Roller is on a level surface and the operating handle in the storage position. Apply the Park Brake.
2. Loosen the nut on the underside of the oil ll / drain plug. NOTE:- DO NOT remove the plug at this stage.
3. Slide the hose from the side panel.
4. Remove 4 x M8 Set Screws using a 13mm spanner. Remove side panel.
5. Bring the hose out of the chassis, remove the plug and drain the oil into a container.
6. Re- t the side panel using a 13mm spanner and slide the oil ll / drain hose back into the slot in the panel. Tighten the nut to secure
to the side panel but leave the plug removed.
7. Using a funnel, pour oil into the ller hose. Care must be taken whilst lling to ensure capacity is not exceeded. Use a dipstick on
left-hand side of the engine to check oil level.
8. Re- t oil ll / drain plug.
9. Check that the machine functions correctly.
Engine Oil Change Procedure - Kubota
1. Place the Operating Handle in the storage position and apply the Park Brake.
2. Mount the Roller onto 40mm blocks, ensuring the Roller is tilting towards the Drain Plug side.
3. Remove 4 x M8 Set Screws from the Side Guard using a 13mm Socket. Remove Side Guard.
4. Using a 19mm Spanner remove the 1 x M12 Bolt (Item 1) from the Roller Frame.
5. Using a 17mm Spanner remove the Drain Plug / Oil Filter (Item 2) from the Engine and allow
the Oil to drain into a suitable container.
6. Wash out the Drain Plug / Oil Filter with Light Oil and re-place into the Engine.
Tighten to 50Nm.
7. Re- t the 1 x M12 Bolt into the Frame using a 19mm Spanner and tighten to 90Nm.
8. Remove the Roller from the 40mm blocks. Ensure the Roller is now on a level surface.
9. Remove the Oil Filler Cap from the Engine (Item 3) and pour Oil into the Engine (1.3 Litres)
10. Re- t the Oil Filler Cap.
11. Re- t Side Guard to the Roller with 4 x M8 Set Screws using a 13mm Socket. Tighten to 28Nm.
12. Release the Park Brake and lower the Operating Handle.
13. Check that the machine functions correctly.
Battery Replacement Procedure
1. Remove the 4 x Bolts from the side guard using a 13mm Socket and remove the side guard. Save the fasteners.
2. Using an 11mm spanner, remove the earth cable from the battery then remove the positive cable from the battery.
3. Remove the battery clamp and pad. Remove 2 x nuts and 2 x washers using a 13mm spanner.
4. Remove the long battery stud and washer using a 13mm spanner.
5. Remove 2 x bolts from the regulator using 10mm socket.
6. Remove bracket which was behind the regulator using a 10mm socket. Ensure not to lose the spacer from behind the bracket.
7. Move the exible cable retaining strap and pull the wires out.
8. Slide the battery out and replace with the new battery.
9. Put the wires into back into place and secure in place with the cable retaining strap.
10. Re- t bracket and spacer and tighten to 12Nm.
11. Re- t the 2 x bolts into the regulator and tighten to 12Nm.
12. Re- t the battery stud and washer and tighten to 28Nm.
13. Re- t the battery clamp and pad using 13mm spanner. Tighten the nut to ensure that 8mm of thread is exposed.
14. Attach the positive cable to the battery followed by the earth cable.
15. Re- t the side guard. Tighten the 4 x bolts to 28Nm.
