Once the wheel is positioning in the loading zone, lock the wheel on the turntable and
lift it as little as possible up off the ground.
Place the rim tangent to the bead breaker disc using the specific control (Fig. 23).

BEAD BREAKING
When the tyre is deflated, turn the turntable in continuation, moving it a little at a time
using the specific control.
To make the bead breaking operation quicker, operate the control that adjusts the ro-
tational speed.
N.B. In the case of radial tyres with a delicate side or rims with a very high edge, move
the bead breaker to a depth between the rim edge and the bead, as far as the base of
the shoulder of the rim.
When the bead breaking is complete, lubricate the bead and the shoulder of the rim
using the specific grease or a soapy solution, keeping the wheel in movement.
Use the tool arm lifting and tool unit rotation controls to move it to the other side of the
wheel (Fig. 24). With the semiautomatic version, rotation is done using the specific lever
(Fig. 24a).
N.B. If the wheel is very heavy, the second speed should not be used for safety rea-
sons.
Repeat the same operations for rear bead breaking.
Return the tool-holder arm to the front.
DEMOUNTING THE FRONT BEAD:
- Position the wheel with respect to the demounting tool (Fig. 25).
Position the tool so it is in contact with the tyre, making sure that a safe distance is kept
from the rim in order not to bump it during the subsequent search phase.
- Move the tool and turn the turntable at the same time (Fig. 26).
- Once the bead is hooked, move the tool outward until moving the external edge of the
rim so it is lined up with the vertical notch on the tool tab (Fig. 28).
- If the bead is not hooked, activate the manual search mechanism (Fig. 27). Repeat the
steps explained above to hook the bead.
- Once the operation is complete, stretch the tyre, moving the rim away from the tool to
force the bead into the well.
Insert the specific lever between the bead and the rim, to the right of the tool (Fig. 29)
to prevent the bead from being released from the tool.
Move the rim towards the tool and turn the wheel in anticlockwise direction until the
front bead is completely out (Fig. 30).
- When demounting is complete, move the tool to the right, away from the rim, to free it
from the bead. If necessary, return the tool to a horizontal position (Fig. 27a).
- If there is an inner tube, place the wheel on the floor and move back the rim to create
the space necessary to remove it (Fig. 31).
