6.9.1 Menu page P ICTURE or P C
Depending on the video source, the menu page
will be displayed in two different versions:

Video settings

Version PICTURE
CONTRAST
BRIGHTNESS
HUE (for NTSC only)
SATURATION
SHARPNESS
The parameters can only be selected when the
menu item PICTURE MODE has been set to USER .
Press the button "Source / " to call up the
setting scale for the corresponding parameter
and use the button
To return to the menu page, press the button
"Menu / OK" .
Attention: You will exit the menu completely if you
do not press the button "Menu / OK" within a few
seconds after changing the value and if you do not
press any other button after that within a few seconds .
COLOR TEMP (colour temperature)
Use the button "Source / " to select the colour
temperature:
– USER (user-defined colour representation)
When USER is selected, the values of the
parameters USER - R (red component), USER - G
(green component) and USER - B (blue compo-
nent) can be set outside the menu with the
button "Item": ☞
– WARM (warmer colour representation)
– COOL (cooler colour representation)
SCALE (picture format)
Use the button "Source / " to select the picture
format: FULL (full screen), 16 : 9 or 4 : 3 .
PICTURE MODE
Use the button "Source / " to select the picture
mode: USER, STANDARD, SOFT or VIVID . When
USER is selected, the values of the parameter
CONTRAST ... SHARPNESS can be changed . For the
other three modes, the values are fixed .
Note: If a setting other than USER is selected, it will not
be possible to call up the picture parameters with the
button "Item" ( chapter 6 .5); only the parameter

To call up the submenu page COLOR TEMP, press
the button "Source / " . The current setting will
be indicated . Use the button "Source / " to
select the colour temperature:
– USER (user-defined colour representation)
When USER is selected, individual values for the
red component (USER - R ), green component
(USER - G ) and blue component (USER - B ) can be
set both outside the menu (
and on this submenu page COLOR TEMP . Use

Use the button "Source / " to select the picture
format: FULL (full screen), 16 : 9 or 4 : 3 .
Note: The signal of the source PC / V GA can only be
represented in the full-screen mode . The setting indi-
cated for the menu item is irrelevant for this source .
