p) Mounting the Elevator Rudder Linkage
On the top and bottom right hand rudder blade there is a flattened surface
area for the rudder horn (1).
Place the rudder horn on the underside and the opposing mounting plate on
the upper side and screw the two parts together with two 1.5 x 15 mm screws.
Warning!
To ensure that you achieve the same rudder travel both upwards
and downwards, you must set the rudder lever such that the row
of holes in the rudder lever lies in line with the rudder fulcrum
(see sketch).
After you have screwed a clevis onto the 240 mm long linkage rod, the
completion of the linkage construction is carried out as per that of the aileron.
Note:
Attach a servo extension cable of about 10 cm in length to the
elevator rudder servo, or extend the original connection cable of
the servo.
The exact positioning of the linkage points on the rudder can be ascertained
when setting the rudder travel.
