o) Mounting the Aileron Linkage
Wrap a thin strip of adhesive tape (1) around the servo (1) before you place it
in the wing. This ensures that the servo housing will not be unnecessarily
damaged when being attached with superglue.
Place the servo in the wing as per the illustration and glue it in place with a
little glue.
First, screw one clevis (4) each onto the two 150 mm long linkage rods (3).
Now clip the clevises into the two linkage lugs on the aileron rods. Then place
the twin-side aileron lever (5) onto the servo at an exact 90° angle to the flight
direction.
Important!
The servo lever may not be too long. If the linkage rods are
mounted too far apart from one another they will hit against the
fuselage. The rods must be within and/or above the indentation
in the wing (6).
If you have positioned the aileron in the middle you can bend the linkage rods
downwards within the range of the servo lever and trim them.
The rods are secured by the attachment clip (7).
Practical tips:
In order to make the rods approach the servo lever horizontally, make a small
bend (8) in each of the linkage rods.
