8. Assembling the model
Before assembling the model, please read through each individual section carefully. The construction phases are illustrated for better understanding.
Please note that the numbers in the text always refer to the components in the illustration to the right.
Only carry out the described steps in the individual sections if you have completely understood the procedure and know exactly what to pay
attention to.
a) Assembling and installing the elevator linkage
Use a box cutter to cut off a 32 mm piece and a 67 mm piece from the
4.5 x 150 mm plastic tube
Use a wire cutter to cut off a 147 mm piece and a 115 mm piece from the
2 x 320 mm steel wire.
Bend the linkages (1) as shown in the adjoining illustration.
Assemble the linkage as shown in the adjoining illustration.
Make sure that the linkage wires are screwed tight in the bearing (1).
Use a sufficient amount of threadlocker with the screws (2).
Important: The elevator arm must be at a 90° angle to the bent linkages.
Use a box cutter to cut a hole (1) for the elevator linkage.
Glue the white plastic tubes in the slot on the bottom part of the fuselage to the
fuselage using 5-minute epoxy glue.
Make sure that the steel wire does not come into contact with the glue.
