j) Construction of the Vertical Rudder
Cut out the vertical rudder (1) in the same manner as for the elevator rudder.
Trim and tidy the rudder and glue it to the fixed wing portion (2) with two
hinges.
In addition, one further hole (3) must be drilled to attach the tail wheel control.
The exact positioning of the hole can only be ascertained once the tail landing
gear is mounted.
k) Mounting the Tail Landing Gear
Slide the tail landing gear support (1) onto the landing gear wire (2) in line
with the illustration and attach the support to the fuselage using 5 minute
epoxy resin.
Cut two short pieces off the enclosed silicon hose in accordance with the
illustration (3 and 4).
Caution:
You have to retain an approx. 8 mm long piece of hose for
mounting the main landing gear!
Now slide the pieces together with the wheel (5) onto the landing gear wire.
The external piece of hose (4) is then secured with a bit of super glue.
