l) Mounting the Elevator Rudder and Vertical Rudder
Before you glue the elevator rudder (1) and the vertical rudder (2) to the
fuselage, place it into position without glue and secure the components with
some adhesive tape.
You can check both the orientation of the parts and the snugness of fit.
The vertical rudder must sit at an exact 90° angle to the elevator and the
elevator must be positioned parallel to the wing (see upper sketch).
Practical tips
The current position of the rudder can be best established if the model is
looked at from behind at a distance of about 1-2m.
In addition the two distances „A" and „B" (see lower sketch) must be of the
same length.
If the two pieces sit snugly and exactly together, you can glue the rudder to
the fuselage with 5 minute epoxy glue.
