Operation
CAUTION!
■
Danger of injury! Keep animals, hair, jewellery, wide clothing, fi ngers and all other
body parts away from the nozzles of the device. They could become stuck to the
device. If the vacuum cleaner does become stuck, switch the device off immediately
(
press the On / Off switch).
■
Switch on the device only when it is ensured that all the parts have been fully assem-
bled and that the dust container and all fi lters are correctly inserted.
■
To ensure that the mains cable does not become hot during operation, pull out at
least two thirds of its total length from the device. Do not pull out the mains cable with
force up to its maximum length (not further than the red marking) in order to prevent
damage!
■
Before a nozzle is replaced, always switch off the device fi rst and pull the mains plug
out of the plug socket!
■
On no account should the device be used to suck up the following:
– liquids or wet substances (e.g. wet carpet shampoo)
– glowing ash, cigarette ends, matches, etc.
– infl ammable or explosive substances
– very fi ne dust (e.g. concrete dust), ash or toner
– pointed, hard objects such as large pieces of broken glass
The device has a dust level indicator. If it is red during use, the dust container
(7) is full or the suction nozzle, the suction hose (2) or the telescopic tube (10) is
blocked. In this case, empty the dust container (7) (see the "Cleaning" chapter) or
remove the cause of the blockage (see the "Assembly" chapter).

2. Plug the handle (1) onto the telescopic tube (10). For a
better connection, move the telescopic tube (10) back and
forth slightly as you do this. To remove it, simply pull the
telescopic tube (10) away from the handle (1).
3. Push the slide bar in the direction of the arrow and hold it
in position. Pull the telescopic tube (10) out to the length
you want and let go of the slide bar. Push the telescopic
tube (10) up or down a little bit if necessary. It must engage
audibly.
4. Select a suitable nozzle and plug it onto the bottom end
of the telescopic tube (10). Simply pull off the nozzle you
have used to remove it.
Tip: All nozzle attachments can also be fi tted di-
rectly onto the handle (1) without any extension
from the telescopic tube (10).
