Operation
ATTENTION!
■
During use, never hold the nozzles near body parts or animals and do not reach into
them. The device could attach itself to them and you could be injured. If something
does get caught in the vacuum cleaner, turn the device off immediately (move the On/
Off switch to the 0 position).
■
Only turn on the vacuum cleaner once you are sure that all parts have been com-
pletely mounted and that all fi lters have been correctly inserted.
■
To prevent the mains cord from becoming hot during operation, pull at least two thirds
of its entire length out of the device before switching on the vacuum cleaner. To pre-
vent damage, do not forcefully pull the mains cord out up to the stop point (no further
than to the red mark on the cord)!
■
Always turn off the device fi rst and pull the mains plug out of the socket before you
change a nozzle or attach or remove other accessories!
■
Do not in any case vacuum up the following:
– liquids or wet substances (e.g. wet carpet shampoo)
– smouldering ashes, cigarette butts, matches etc.
– fl ammable or ignitable materials
– very fi ne dust (e.g. cement dust), ash or toner
– pointy, hard objects such as larger glass shards
1. If you would like to use one of the enclosed suction nozzles with the suction hose, at-
tach the desired suction nozzle to the suction hose (see chapter "Assembly", section
"Attaching/removing suction nozzles" and the chapter "Product contents and device
overview", section "Suction nozzles").
2. Pull the mains cord (12) out of the housing – ideally up to the yellow mark, but no
further than up to the red mark on the cord!
Notice: You can hook the mains cord into the hook (10) on the handle for added safe-
ty when using the device.
3. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed socket that is easily accessible.
4. Move the On/Off switch (11) to position I to turn the vacuum cleaner on.
5. Push the vacuum cleaner over the area you intend to clean or take the suction hose
(3) out of the holder and move the nozzle over the area you intend to clean.
6. Once you have fi nished vacuuming, move the On/Off switch to position 0 to turn the
device off.
7. Pull the mains plug out of the socket, fi rmly hold the mains cord and push the switch
for the cord winder (14). By holding the mains cord, you prevent it from "whiplashing"
against body parts such as your legs.
8. For best performance of the device, empty the dust bin (4) after each use and clean
the cyclone insert (5), the motor fi lter and the HEPA exhaust air fi lter regularly (see
chapter "Cleaning and care").
