removal session. This process is known as "ejection". After about two weeks
this hair will simply fall out. We do not recommend pulling on the hair – just let
it fall out naturally.
It is also possible that, due to a missed treatment or different growth phases,
some hair has not been affected by the device. This hair will need to be treated
in follow-up sessions.
Is it true that some hair grows back more sparsely and finer after light-
based hair removal?
This phenomenon is well-known among cosmeticians and doctors who use
light and laser-based devices for hair removal, and can also be seen with Silk'n
Infinity™. Only a fraction of the treated hair grows back, in comparison to
before treatment, and they generally fall out completely after continued use.
Is long-term use of the hair removal device dangerous for my skin?
The use of light and laser energy in aesthetic medicine has been well
documented for over 25 years in professional, specialist journals, and by
respected institutions such as the Mayo Clinic. These journals and institutions
have not reported any side effects or damage attributable to long-term use
of a light or laser device.
Can I use the device to remove facial hair?
The device can also be used to treat facial hair.
However, when used on the face, special care should be taken to avoid contact
with the eyes. Never use the device near your eyes!
To avoid sun exposure on areas of the face you wish to treat during the first
three weeks before and after treatment, always apply sun cream with a sun
protection factor of at least 30 to the affected areas.
