Maintenance, cleaning and storage

If the appliance is dirty: heat up the grill for approx. 10 - 15 minutes at full power. Then leave it to cool
down.
Make sure that the grill has cooled down by checking the temperature shown on the lid thermometer.
• Take out the grate and the cover.
• Clean the outer casing with a mild detergent and water. Rinse it thoroughly with clean water and then
dry the surfaces.
• To clean the grate simply loosen the deposits using the RÖSLE barbecue cleaning brush or a soft stain-
less steel brush. Then wipe over with a damp cloth.
• After the grill has been thoroughly cleaned, always dry it out by heating it up at full power.
• To ensure your grill gives you long service, we recommend that after it has cooled down you protect it
from the weather with a matching RÖSLE hood. To prevent moisture build-up, the hood should be re-
moved after rain.
• Never use oven cleaners, abrasive cleaners, cleaners that contain citric compounds or abrasive sponges
to clean the grill. Do not allow any water or cleaner to get into the burner jets.
• Check the gas-carrying parts, valves, hoses, etc. whenever the gas cylinder has been replaced, whenever
the appliance has been in storage for a long period, and at least once a year.
• Check that the screw fixings are tight and that the wheels are firmly attached and turn freely.
• If the grill is not used for long periods, you should carry out a gas-tightness test before using it again.
Catcher tray
The fat-catcher trays should be cleaned regularly. If you do NOT do so, the accumulated fat and oil
could cause a fire in your gas grill. Frequent cleaning may be necessary, depending on how much
the grill is used. Your guarantee does not cover damage caused by a fire started by fat and oil resi-
dues.
Burners
Especially after long periods of use, the burners can become clogged with excess fat, juices and marinades.
If that happens, remove the burners
• Clean them with hot water and detergent.
• Make sure that the burner jets are clear.
• Rinse them with water, dry them and put them back in the grill.
• Light them immediately to prevent rusting and erosion.
• Apply a little oil if the grill is not to be used for an extended period.
