OPERATION

Two cooking zones one in front of the other

Connection function

Setting 'p' is suitable for boiling water, but is too high for heating butter
or milk, and is much too high for defrosting.
• The two cooking zones one in front of the other affect each other.
When both of these cooking zones are switched on at the same
time, the power is shared automatically between them.
• This has no consequences for setting 9. By selecting the boost
setting for one of the cooking zones, the other cooking zone will,
however, switch to a lower setting.
• If one of the cooking zones is set to boost and you would like to set
the other zone to 9 or boost, the cooking zone for which boost had
been set will switch automatically to a lower setting.
• The two cooking zones next to each other do not affect each other.
You can set both cooking zones to boost.
The connection function can be activated by pressing the connection
button. After setting this function, both zones, front and back, will have
the same setting. The front zone's buttons will not work. The settings
can only be changed using the buttons for the back zone. When
the timer is active, the timer indicators in the timer display for both
connected zones are on at the same time.
Use a (fish)pan that covers at least one of the zones in the middle.
Activating the connection function.
• Place a pan (or two/three pans) on the flex zone.
• Press the on/off button.
You will hear a short beep sound and "0" will appear in the display
for the zone back-right. If you don't make any other changes, the
hob will switch off automatically after 10 seconds.
• Press the connection button.
The connection indicator comes on and you see the connection
symbol in the front display.
