Product description
4.2.1 Heating and hot water mode
All 3 energy options of the heater can be used
In heating and hot water mode, the appliance auto-
•
matically selects the necessary operating level
In electrical mode, 900 W (39 A) or 1800 W (78 A)
•
power can be selected manually in accordance with
the fuse protection at the campsite
If more power is required (eg for heating up or at
•
low outside temperatures), select diesel or mixed
mode so that sufficient heating power is always
available
In mixed mode, 230 V electrical mode is preferred
•
if the power requirement is low (eg for maintain-
ing the room temperature) The diesel burner only
switches on when more power is required and is
the first to switch off when heating is in progress If
no 230 V line power is available in mixed mode, the
control panel issues a warning and switches over to
diesel mode
Avoid prolonged operation at the lowest level
If possible, avoid continuous operation with low
room temperature requirements for a longer period
(longer than 10 days) in diesel mode, and use elec-
tric mode instead
If it is not possible to switch to electric mode, the
heater should be briefly heated up once a day so
that condensation can evaporate and clean combus-
tion is possible
Drain the water and switch off the heating during
longer periods of not using the heater, especially
during periods of frost
4.2.2 Hot water mode (only with water container
filled)
Diesel or electrical mode is used to heat water
Mixed mode cannot be used to heat water If mixed
mode is selected, the applianceautomatically selects
electrical mode The diesel burner is not switched on
Depending on the installed control panel, the tempera-
ture can be set to 40 °C, 60 °C or 70 °C If you require a
lot of hot water, set the water temperature higher
In electrical mode, 900 W (39 A) or 1800 W (78 A)
power can be selected manually in accordance with the
fuse protection of the line power connection

Fuel supply
4.3.1 Fuel quality
The heater requires diesel fuel to operate Suitable and
approved fuels are diesel fuels
as per DIN EN 590
•
as per DIN EN 15940 (synthetic fuels)
•
A fuel mixture with more than 7% biodiesel (eg B10,
B20, B30, pure biodiesel) is not approved
4.3.2 Fuel at low temperatures
The refineries and filling stations will automatically per-
form the required adjustments for the usual winter tem-
peratures (winter diesel)
Difficulties can occur at temperatures below 0 °C if the
vehicle still has summer diesel in its fuel tank
Consider spare canisters with summer diesel
At temperatures below -20 °C, check the suitability
of the winter diesel for this temperature range before
starting the heater
Blends of waste oil, rapeseed oil, spirit or petrol are not
allowed
To guarantee that all fuel lines of the heater unit are
filled with winter diesel or another permitted mixture
after fuelling, the heater must be operated for at least
15 minutes
