9. ADJUSTING USER PROFILES INDIvIDUALLY
F6 Special program
This program allows you to set up your individual workout.
Press + or – to select P6. Press SETZEN to confirm.
The first pedal resistance bar starts flashing. Press + or – to adjust the resistance
level as desired. Confirm with SETZEN. Proceed the same way with all the other
workout sections.
Press the START/STOPP button to start exercising.
All counters start recording.
Press + or – during the workout to adjust the pedal resistance.
Press START / STOPP again to pause or stop the workout.
Then use the + or – button to select whether or not to save the workout data, and
confirm with SETZEN.
P7 Recovery pulse measurement
This program allows you to determine the level of your recuperative capacity. The faster
your pulse comes down after workout, the better your fitness level.
Press + or – to select P7. Press SETZEN to confirm.
Grab the hand pulse sensors for 60 seconds or wear a chest strap for heart rate
measurement (not included).
The display will show a fitness level indicator from F1 to F6. F1 is the best, and F6
is the lowest level.
Press SETZEN after the recovery mode has been finished.
The computer will display ERR if no pulse signal can be received.
During measurement, sit still on the Speedracer without moving the pedals.
P8 Body fat measurement
Press + or – to select P8. Press SETZEN to confirm.
Press START / STOPP to start measuring.
During measurement, grab the hand pulse sensors with both hands.
After approx. 10 seconds, the display will display Körperfett, BMI, BMR and FAT%.
Press SETZEN to switch between the single parameters.
Press SICHERN to stop.
Note: In order to perform the body fat measurement, you must enter height, weight,
age and gender beforehand.
Note: If you do not fully grab the pulse sensors, the LCD will display E2. In such a
case, press ZURÜCKSTELLEN to finish.
BMI:
The Body Mass Index (BMI) represents the ratio between body weight and
squared body height. A value below 18.5 indicates underweight; a value
between 18.5 and 25 indicates normal weight; a value above 25 indicates
overweight.
BMR:
The basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the amount of energy used by the body
per day for maintaining safe function of its system. You may multiply the
metabolic rate with different activities in order to determine your actual
energy requirements.
