11. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Remove the pedal crank and side covers to
perform repairs inside the device.
The computer does not display the pulse rate.
The pedal resistance can be adjusted using the
computer, but is not applied to the device (no
pedal resistance).
Solution
• Unscrew the nut (54) that
secures the crank against the
axis. Then screw the puller (not
included) into the thread of the
pedal crank, fix the pin to the
pedal axis, and then pull off the
crank by screwing the pin further
in. To remove the side covers,
loosen the Phillips screws
located in the recesses.
Measuring via hand pulse
sensors:
• Check the plug-in connectors of
the pulse cable to the computer.
Measuring via chest strap:
• Check the compatibility of your
chest strap; it must not be
encoded and must transmit with
a frequency of 5 kHz.
• Check the batteries of the chest
strap.
• Check if the v-belt is worn
out or torn. (This might be
the case, if the flywheel does
NOT decelerate after you stop
pedaling.)
• Check the plug-in connections
of the computer cable (between
computer and control).
• Check the plug-in connections
on the control board.
• Replace the control board.
